Comcast Secures Sponsorship for 2019 Whiskers, Wine & Dine
As the Northwest Spay and Neuter Center (NWSNC) works to raise $250,000 for the 2019 Whiskers, Wine & Dine Gala, Comcast has stepped up to provide a $7,500 sponsorship. This generous donation dovetails nicely with Comcast’s philosophy of making a meaningful difference in the communities they serve. They are proud to support the work of NWSNC because it not only improves the lives of pets, but also the families that love and care for them. Over the course of one year, NWSNC provides spay or neuter services to more than 13,500 dogs and cats, offsetting the cost of every surgery or service they perform in some way. Comcast’s support will go a long way to ensure all pets in Washington state have access to affordable and accessible care in the interest of ending pet overpopulation.
This sponsorship was secured by Comcast Director and NWSNC board member, Hans Hechtman. As an animal lover all his life, Hans can’t remember a time when he didn’t have a dog. For Hans, the NWSNC’s focus on prevention is essential. Providing high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter services is the single, most effective way to prevent overpopulation. Hans is also proud of the skilled and compassionate staff members at NWSNC and even chose to have his dog Violet spayed there.
Hans and Laura Fox, NWSNC Board President, have served on the board together for more than five years. When asked why she enjoys serving on the board with Hans, Fox replied, “I appreciate his dedication to our mission. Hans truly understands how to help lead NWSNC as we work to provide a practical and crucial service for our community. Hans is a true partner and I am grateful for his support.”
