Cascade Animal Protection Society (CAPS)

CAPS

The work we do within the walls of the clinic could not happen without the incredibly selfless organizations within the larger community.  One that we would like to shine the spotlight on this month is Cascade Animal Protection Society (CAPS).

Cascade Animal Protection Society is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, injured, and unwanted animals in the Puget Sound area. The animals in their care come from a variety of situations. These animals live in foster homes until a permanent forever home is found for these pets.  Pets are made available for adoption after they are spayed, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.  CAPS is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the pets that find their way into their care.

CAPS is in need of support from the generous community we share, and here are some ways you can help.  CAPS can always use more families willing to foster these animals as they prepare to be adopted.  Every foster home enables CAPS to take in and save another animal’s life. The foster home provides love, care, housing and training until an adoptive home is found. CAPS provides food, medical care and vaccinations. If you have room, time and love please consider volunteering to be a foster parent.

Like all nonprofit organizations, CAPS can always use more volunteers.  Volunteers are the lifeblood of the organization. If you have a lot of time or just a little you can make a difference. Take the first step and contact CAPS for more information. It could be a big step in a new direction and change your life along with the lives of needy animals.
